What should I prepare before the call?
Not much. If you can have a rough sense of your current setup (what CMS, what hosting, any integrations that matter) and what you're trying to accomplish, that's enough to have a useful conversation. If you don't know your stack in detail, that's fine too - I'll ask the right questions to figure it out.

How long is the strategy call?
30 minutes. I keep it focused - we cover your situation, your constraints, and whether there's a fit. If the project is complex, we may agree to a longer scoping session afterward, but the first call is always 30 minutes.
Is the strategy call free?
Yes, completely free. I don't charge for initial consultations. My interest is in understanding whether your project is something I can genuinely help with - not in selling a call package.
Do you work with clients outside Toronto?
Yes. A significant portion of my work is remote - both with Canadian clients outside Toronto and with international clients, primarily in the US and UK. For Toronto-based projects where in-person meetings are useful, that's available too. I work within Eastern Time business hours.
How does pricing work?
Project pricing is scoped after a discovery call, not before. A WordPress security audit for a 50-page site and a bilingual enterprise platform rebuild are very different scopes, and I don't give accurate numbers without understanding both. All services require a 6-month minimum commitment. After the initial term, retainers continue month-to-month. For agencies, white-label rates are available on request.
What if I'm not sure what I need?
That's a normal starting point. Send a message describing what's happening - slow site, breaking after updates, previous developer disappeared, need to add a feature, whatever it is. I'll ask a few questions and give you a straightforward read on what the situation looks like and what options exist. No obligation, no pitch.
